Teacher Training | Argentina 2024
February 1, 2024 - February 28, 2024
We will be back to South America with our Teacher Training program! Our Partner Acrobatics teacher training program offers an opportunity to intensively train for four weeks, whilst learning the skills and tools to teach successful acro classes and workshops. We encourage and support our students in developing their own teaching style, based on the latest principals of neuroscience and motor learning and our own extensive teaching experience.
Moreover, plenty of time will be dedicated to improve your personal acrobatic practice. Some time will be dedicated to prepare public performances and work on the aesthetics of your acro moves.
In our Partner Acrobatics programs, we cover many different acrobatic disciplines: standing acrobatics, handstand training, washing machines, trio tricks, Icarian games, whips and whip-pops to name a few. To balance out this physical intensity, we have our prehab program and therapeutic sessions, which aim to heal and restore the body.
This Acrobatics Teacher Training program is residential; food and accommodation are included in the course fee.
The program will be in Spanish and English translation will be offered in a small group for an additional fee. You do not have to be fluent in Spanish, all the teachers will be able to understand and answer your questions in English. However, you do need a good understanding of Spanish to be able to follow the classes.
We do require require you have some acrobatic skills. We need you to honestly and accurately asses whether the following skills are accessible/of ease to you (while working with someone of similar skill level) as a base OR flyer, at the time of application you must be able to accomplish the skills without a spotter helping (they can be there for safety).
- Proficiency/comfort spotting tricks at your level
- Kick up into a handstand (you can have a spotter but without help to get in)
- Hold a handstand at the wall for at least a minute.
- Prasarita twist
- Star (shoulderstand on feet)
- Free shoulderstand in hands (flyer holding bases arms)
- Thighstand (any variation)
- Foot to Hand (any variation)
- 2 man high (hands on calves)
- Icarian throne to bird
On your application you will be asked to rate your comfort level in the following…. while they are not prerequisites, the more experience you come with the more you will gain out of the training!
- L-BASING (base lying down)
- Tic tocks
- Reverse star
- Free star (no hands)
- Hand to hand (any variation)
- Flag (either variation)
- Foot to hand
- Hand to hand
Send us 1 video
- 1-2 minute acrobatic sequence of your choice.
The video should represent where you are at skill-wise, however, it doesn’t need to be all of the craziest things you can do—basic and clean! The video also doesn’t need to be of high production quality, a quick one on your cell phone is fine:)
El Campito de Solci and Fer is a small farm just outside of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The farm has cats, cows, chicken, horses and a lot of dogs. There is a lot of space so the animals won’t bother you.
The farm has a swimming pool, a big indoor training space, and lots of space to play, train and camp outside. There will be a space where we eat all together and a big kitchen.
Camping is included as part of the course price.
You can choose to stay in a room for an extra 400 USD. You will stay a little outside the farm, at 10-15 minutes bike ride from the farm. All food is still included in your course fee.
For those camping: please bring all your own camp gear, we don’t provide tents.
To have the energy for this 28-day Acrobatics Teacher Training program, we provide 3 healthy and mostly local meals per day. The food is mostly vegetarian and we offer a ‘meat option’ every few days. We cater for vegan, gluten free and various intolerances, which you can include in your application.
There is a large kitchen and space in the fridge to store your own snacks etc. Seasonal fruits and vegetables are available throughout the day.
